We are people just like you, so we believe in the importance of supporting community programmes and events – whether it is an individual’s sporting goal or a charitable cause.
We are always focused on actions that are good for our society, whether giving back or getting out in the community. That is why throughout the year our team members are encouraged to take a day’s paid leave, to help out within the community or a specific organisation of their choice.
With about 30 staff at Harris Tate, this equates to about 180 hours of voluntary work dedicated to helping and increasing civic pride within Tauranga.
Harris Tate is proud to be supporting the 2022 Acorn Foundation Wills Month this September. We will be waiving the fee for a simple change to an existing Will for clients who would like to include a bequest, however big or small, to the Acorn Foundation. Leone Farquhar, Director of our Māori Legal Team, attended the event and presented the award for Te Uta ki Ngā Taiohi o Tauranga Moana (Contribution to Youth) to Te Kahu Rolleston of Ngāi Te Rangi (via his māmā). She was joined at the event with her husband Stu, our Practice Manager Aroha Daniels, and her husband Rawiri.
It was an awesome event celebrating amazing people from right here in Tauranga Moana who are doing some truly amazing mahi out there. We were humbled and privileged to be given the opportunity to support the Trust and look forward to an ongoing relationship with the Trust going forward.
