Employer clients are asking us about the process and fees for the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) which allows businesses to hire migrants on visas for up to 3 years.
The process is as follows:
Step One: Submit an application for employer accreditation. The fee will depend on the type of accreditation you need.
Step Two: Advertise the role for at least 2 weeks where suitable New Zealanders are likely to apply.
Step Three: Apply for a job check (once you have accreditation from step one), include results of the advertising you have done.
Step Four: Ask the migrant to apply for their visa using the Immigration Online system.
Step Five: Renew your accreditation – initial accreditation lasts for 12 months.
If all of the above steps are completed within the estimated timeline from Immigration New Zealand, the process will take approximately 10 weeks from the date of submission of the application. You will pay a different fee to Immigration New Zealand depending on the type of accreditation you need.
STANDARD ACCREDITATION – up to 5 migrants at any one time. $740
HIGH VOLUME ACCREDITATION – 6 or more migrants at any one time. $1220
FRANCHISEE ACCREDITATION. $1,980
CONTROLLING THIRD PARTY ACCREDITATION. $3,870
Please let us know if you would like us to assist with your accreditation.
