Michelle Igasan

Michelle’s current practice areas are predominantly commercial and property where she assists director Grant Harris with his busy practice. Michelle is also passionate about sports and is developing a sports law practice with a focus on providing advice around governance, management, administration and dispute resolution for sporting organisations, athletes, participants and volunteers and organisers.

Michelle is a previous member of the New Zealand Law Society Property Law Reform Panel and Property Law Section and has also held various board positions within the community. She also holds current practising certificate’s in both New Zealand and Queensland jurisdictions which enable her to provide legal advice and assistance on cross-border property and commercial matters. In particular her knowledge of Queensland property and conveyancing has positioned her as the “go to” person for many expats either migrating to Queensland, or returning back to Aotearoa New Zealand.

With two sporty teenagers there’s not a lot of time for much else and hence evenings and weekends are mostly spent at sport venues. Michelle’s oldest son is currently contracted to the Brisbane Broncos rugby league franchise and is progressing through their pathways system with a hope to one day playing in the NRL, and her daughter is currently a handy hockey player with a vision of one day playing top level representative hockey
